Eye Candy

"Eye Candy" marries recycled lingerie and off the bolt fabrics to create an imaginary world made up of individual pieces that, paired with their titles, encourage the viewer to consider the multifaceted feminine sexual experience. The lingerie is found at second hand stores and is machine sewn together with scraps of fancy and transparent fabrics. The process combines my love of fabric with an interest in formal art considerations, such as color, design, and pattern, while also satisfying a need to find the metaphors and/or humor within the work.
